Celebrating Success at South Yorkshire Police's Inspiring Youth Awards

 

 

Congratulations to Year 11 students Tamzin and Zakia who achieved their level 1 awards last week and joined students from across the city to celebrate at the annual presentation evening. Tamzin was presented with an additional award for submitting the best project in Sheffield.

 

Also celebrated at the event was Year 11 student Robin and Sheffield South East VI Form alumni, Ivelina who received a special award for their contribution to the project

 

The Inspiring Youth Awards are run by volunteers from South Yorkshire Police and engages teenagers to work on projects, improve their self-esteem and build on their life skills.

 

The awards ceremony was attended by the High Sheriff of South Yorkshire Mr Martin McKervey and the Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire Andrew Coombs.

 

The evening concluded with a final surprise for the school who were announced overall winners, and named as the top school in Sheffield.
