This week, we were very pleased to present our Dux Litterarum award – recognising outstanding contribution to the VI Form – to Year 13 student Farida Haque.
Despite the changes and challenges of this year, in which all our Sixth Formers demonstrated their resilience, perseverance and commitment to their studies, staff felt it was important to continue with this annual tradition.
Throughout her time at Sheffield Park Academy, where she achieved five Grade 9s and five Grade 8s at GCSE, and since at our VI Form, Farida has gone above and beyond in her studies and exhibited an exemplary work ethic. She has been an active member of our VI Form community, playing a pivotal role as an ambassador and supporting younger students.
Commenting on her award, Craig Dillon – Executive Principal said:
“We are very proud to be honouring Farida with the Dux Litterarum award this year, amidst what has been a hugely difficult time for all our students and staff. Over the course of her seven years with us, Farida has worked incredibly hard and is well known for her positive attitude to her studies. She greets all around her with a smile each and every day and has been a wonderful ambassador for our school and VI Form.”
