Sheffield Park Academy Gets Ministerial ‘Thumbs Up’

School’s Minister praises academy for its Progress 8 performance
School’s Minister Nick Gibb has praised Sheffield Park Academy for its Progress 8 performance, which places its in the top 5% of schools in the country.
In a letter to Sheffield Park’s Executive Principal Craig Dillon, Mr Gibb, who is Minister of State for School Standards, wrote:
“I would like to congratulate you, your staff and your pupils for the high levels of progress your pupils are making. Your school’s results, as published on 19th January, show that you are amongst the top 5% of schools in terms of the progress your pupils make between Key Stage 2 and the end of Key Stage 4, using the *Progress 8 measure.”
Mr Gibb also went on to thank the school for its high standards, hard work and professionalism.
Commenting on the letter, Sheffield Park Academy’s Executive Principal Mr Dillon:
“We are immensely proud of our ambitious and confident young people and would like to thank everyone associated with the school for their hard work, dedication and support which has helped us to achieve this.”
