Anti-Bullying
Every person within our community is valued equally and should be treated as such, regardless of their age; disability; gender reassignment; marriage and civil partnership; pregnancy and maternity; race; religion or belief; sex and sexual orientation.
All children and young people have the right to go about their daily lives without the fear of being threatened, assaulted or harassed. Sheffield Park Academy will take all allegations of bullying seriously as we are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of our students so they can learn in a relaxed and secure atmosphere free from oppression and abuse.
All adults at Sheffield Park Academy will listen to students concerns over bullying and will take appropriate actions to ensure that they are addressed in a timely and robust manner. The Support for Learning Centre team is often the first point of contact for students who wish to report bullying.
This team comprises of:
- Mrs K Mills – Senior Leader for Safeguarding & Pastoral Support*
- Mr A Ratcliffe – Safeguarding Manager*
- Mrs L Wright – Pastoral Manager *
- Ms J Symington – Assistant Head of Year (Y7 and Y8) *
*this member of staff also has ‘Advanced Safeguarding Training'
For students who may wish to report bullying electronically or who feel that they are unable, for any reason, to speak to someone in person, we maintain an ‘Student Support Portal' which can be accessed here and immediately notifies the Principal and all of the above named staff members.
