Support

The working environment is friendly but purposeful and students are guided to take increasing responsibility for their own learning.

As a full-time student, you will be a member of a tutor group and meet your personal tutor regularly. Sheffield South East VI Form’s tutorial system is intensive and all-encompassing. It is designed to help you achieve your full potential, assist with applications for higher education pathways and encourage your personal and social development.

Examples of what our pastoral programme includes:

  • One to one meetings with your personal tutor
  • Study skills
  • Health and well-being
  • CV building
  • Level 3 based vocabulary
  • Interview skills
  • Formal writing using different media
  • UCAS applications
  • Current affairs – within the community and on a global platform

Sheffield South East VI Form has its own dedicated Safeguarding Officer, Careers Information and Guidance Officer, UCAS specialist and Oxbridge specialist.

We fully prepare our students for the next stage of their journey providing the right amount of autonomy and support. Our deeply embedded pastoral system allows our young adults to progress naturally whilst having the provision of expert support if and when needed.
